Dawson's 8th Birthday & Baptism

Ok I know it has been forever since I have blogged & I am sorry. I cannot believe it but Dawson turned 8yrs old on Dec. 4th, 2008. Gosh time sure does fly by. He is such a wonderful, smart, creative & funny kid. I love him so much. Dawson wanted to go to Red Lobster for his birthday dinner. We decided to take him on Saturday instead of on his birthday since it was during the week. Saturday Dec. 6th was a very special day for Dawson too. Dawson was baptized by my dad. He was so excited to have Grandpa Terry to be able to baptize him. Dawson had been counting down the days. He was also very excited to get baptized because that meant he got to wear his handsome suit to church & have his very own scriptures. He is handsome & looks so grown up with his suit. Dawson really wanted Cory to give a talk at his baptism, but of course we knew that wasn't possible since he is in Mexico. So we emailed Cory to see if he could write a talk & Grandma Kayleen would read it for him. It was such a wonderful talk on baptism & it made it better that is was from Cory. I asked Dawson who he wanted to give the talk about the Holy Ghost, he said "I would like you to mom." & I said "Can you think of someone else." (I knew if I gave a talk I would just be crying the whole time) So he decided on Great Grandma Stokes. She had a wonderful talk too. It was such a wonderful & emotional day for me. I know that isn't very suprising about the emotional part!! :) Well here is a few pictures from his Birthday & Baptism.
