Dawson is a BIG Brother!!
So many of you may know, but Dawson's stepmom has been trying to get pregnant for some time now & haven't been able to. So they decided to try adoption. So after they started the adoption process they found out that Jen was pregnant. They still wanted to try to adopt since she had a miscarriage & other problems trying to carry a baby. Well the first mom that had chosen them, at the last minute she decided she wanted to keep the baby. So Will & Jen thought they would try again. This mom is from Virginia & had come out to Utah to deliver the baby. They received a call on Jan. 23rd that the baby was born on Jan. 22nd & that the mom has signed the papers. So on Saturday Jan. 24th they went to the hospital, picked up the baby & brought him home. His name is Kyan & he weighed 5lbs 2oz. Dawson was so excited when Jen & Will had called him to tell him that he was going to have a brother. Dawson has really been wanting a brother for a long time. On Sunday we went up to see him. He is so dang cute & so tiny. Dawson is going to be a really good & helpful brother. Here is a few pictures from when we went to see him. (Dawson is wearing a mask because he had a cough & I didn't want the baby to get sick)

Dawson's 8th Birthday & Baptism
Ok I know it has been forever since I have blogged & I am sorry. I cannot believe it but Dawson turned 8yrs old on Dec. 4th, 2008. Gosh time sure does fly by. He is such a wonderful, smart, creative & funny kid. I love him so much. Dawson wanted to go to Red Lobster for his birthday dinner. We decided to take him on Saturday instead of on his birthday since it was during the week. Saturday Dec. 6th was a very special day for Dawson too. Dawson was baptized by my dad. He was so excited to have Grandpa Terry to be able to baptize him. Dawson had been counting down the days. He was also very excited to get baptized because that meant he got to wear his handsome suit to church & have his very own scriptures. He is handsome & looks so grown up with his suit. Dawson really wanted Cory to give a talk at his baptism, but of course we knew that wasn't possible since he is in Mexico. So we emailed Cory to see if he could write a talk & Grandma Kayleen would read it for him. It was such a wonderful talk on baptism & it made it better that is was from Cory. I asked Dawson who he wanted to give the talk about the Holy Ghost, he said "I would like you to mom." & I said "Can you think of someone else." (I knew if I gave a talk I would just be crying the whole time) So he decided on Great Grandma Stokes. She had a wonderful talk too. It was such a wonderful & emotional day for me. I know that isn't very suprising about the emotional part!! :) Well here is a few pictures from his Birthday & Baptism.

Halloween!
Dawson went trick or treating with his dad this year. I was able to go to his Halloween Parade at school. So I took a few pictures they aren't the best. He is Darth Vader. He couldn't wear his mask to school so I thought I would take some pictures at the house before school with his mask. Dawson was so funny he would make that noise in the mask like he was really Darth Vader. It was AWESOME!! Sorry this post is a little late :)
